Dreamweaver is not a text editor

Wednesday, September 07, 2005 8:18:25 AM

I have to repeat over and over "Dreamweaver is not a text editor...Dreamweaver is not a text editor." I just made the stupid mistake of opening up a 60,000 line text file in DW and then trying to do a simple find for a string. It's 15 minutes later, Dreamweaver is still running at 100% CPU and 480,000K. Not sure why a 15,000K file causes DW to use 430,000 extra kilobytes to find one string, but I know I'll never do it again. Some things were meant to be done in Wordpad. After force-quitting DW, Wordpad took all of 3 seconds to find the string. ;-)
