A good choice for a change on election day
Saturday, November 04, 2006 1:24:49 PM
I don't often talk about politics on my blog, because it's not really the place for it, but this Tuesday is election day and everyone in the US who is registered should get out and vote. In Virginia, where I live, we don't have any good choices. Indeed, throughout the country, there are very few candidates who would get me excited to the point where I thought it would be better for the country if one person won over the other. The one exception is Maryland, where Michael Steele is running. Steele is a good man, which I can't say about many politicians these days. I can't vote for him, being a Virginia resident, but as a former long-time resident of P. G. County, where Steele is from, I am hoping he has enough momentum to pull him over the top. I think Maryland will be better off with Steele representing them. If you live in Maryland, take a look at his stand on the issues:

When it comes down to it, that is where the decision should be made, however I think Steele can help shake things up in the US Senate and get us away from the status quo.
